    The program Financial Records Specialist monitors key billing documentation associated with admission and re-certification to assure accurate and compliance with billing rules and regulations. Prepares admission paperwork for the VITAS patient chart. Enters key billing data into VITAS software, beginning the billing process including but not limited to VX and scanning folder. Monitors the recertification process to assure documentation is received in a timely manner.  Reports any issues or trends noted to the Patient Care Administrator. Communicates effectively with Team Managers to assure compliance with billing related documentation.

     

    Position is Part Time

    Qualifications

    • Qualified candidates must have two years of related experience.
    • Must have experience with VITAS patient management systems preferred,  VX, VxCarePlanIT.
    • Healthcare background helpful with specific experience in finance, medical records, or office operations.
    • Proficient in Excel, Word and Outlook.
    • Must possess basic technical and professional skills to support job performance.

    Education

    • College degree preferred with minimum of 2 years related experience.
    • Healthcare background helpful with specific experience in finance, medical records, or office operations.
