VITAS seeks an experienced Senior Vice President of Operations for its California market.

 

 

Reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer, this position will:

  • Provide oversight and make recommendations for improvement to the organization’s core services focusing on expansion of business lines, resource deployment and utilization, service delivery and profitability 
  • Assist in the enhancement of organizational standards and key performance indicators that encompass such areas as staffing ratios, scheduling, logistics and financial performance
  • Direct an internal team that reviews and monitors daily key performance indicators in support of business operations
  • Develop both short-term and long-term strategies for improving resource management

Qualifications

  • 15+ years senior operations experience in a healthcare setting. Hospice experience is strongly preferred.
  • Experience with multi-site, multi-state operations, in a healthcare setting offering a complex array of services. Prior hospice operations experience preferred.
  • The ability to demonstrate a proven track record of increased profitability, improved performance, and process improvement in a comparably sized organization.
  • Exceptional communication, multi-tasking and leadership skills

Education

  • Advanced education in the form of a Master's or Bachelor's degree in business administration, healthcare administration or related field from an accredited college or university or the international equivalent preferred.
