VITAS Corporate Miami office has an opening for a Recruitment Specialist.


The Recruitment Specialist will support the recruitment department with a variety of HR/recruitment functions under the direction of his/her manager and other members of the recruitment team. Responsibilities  include but are not limited to creating offer letters, scheduling interviews, providing customer service to hiring manager and candidates, arranging travel, administering background checks and preparing invoices and reports. A continuous process improvement perspective along with a keen sense of urgency a must.  High level of confidentiality required.

Qualified candidates must have a minimum of two years prior relevant experience supporting a busy, fast paced recruitment function.

  • Must be a team-player.
  • Exceptional customer service and organization skills.
  • Familiarity with Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) and how it relates to pre-employment background screening.
  • Ability to multi-task and work on a variety of assignments simultaneously.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to communicate tactfully with department heads, managers, coworkers and vendors to resolve problems and negotiate resolutions.
  • Attention to detail is an absolute requirement, as is an ability to look forward and make contributions toward process improvements.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Powerpoint and Excel) and experience with an Applicant Tracking System (ATS).
  • Experience in healthcare and in a corporate environment is a plus.


  • Completion of high school or basic education equivalency required.  Associate’s degree in business or related field preferred.
