    The Facilities Specialist is responsible for providing assistance and support to the Facilities department during all relocation projects.  Other responsibilities include Property Management, Parking and Key control. Works with associates, as well as coordinating and following up with Building Management. Responsible for assigning all parking permits, space assignment and all metro rail passes. Monitors/schedules all shred requirements (confidential/regular); assists in the development of policy for disposal of confidential materials in compliance with HIPAA. Assists with all facets for relocation & reconfiguration projects with Corporate and with the development of standardized work-flow processes for Facilities. Assists with tenant improvement/leasehold improvement projects; walk thru with vendors, requests pricing based on scope of work, bid analysis. Supports Director of department. Assists with tracking all financial impacts to the department budget, tracking expenditure against RCA projects (Capital Expenditure) and when required with larger Purchase department projects. Assists with Real Estate functions as required. Responsible for maintaining Hurricane Policy & Procedures for Florida based facilities. Responsible for maintaining Emergency contact sheets for all VITAS facilities.  Corporate location only.

    Qualifications

    Qualified candidates must have one to thee years prior related experience. Ability to work on various assignments simultaneously and to communicate tactfully, verbally and in writing with department heads, managers, co-workers and vendors to resolve problems and negotiate resolutions.  Working knowledge of computers, Internet access, and the ability to navigate within an automated systems as well as a variety of software packages such as Outlook, Excel and Word.

    Education

    Associate’s degree in business administration or related field from an accredited college or university or the international equivalent preferred.
